About Maricruz Arce

I’m a Toronto-based marketer with experience across agency PR, brand marketing, partnerships and digital. My work has taken me from media relations and brand experiences to campaigns, email, social and collaborations — usually somewhere in the middle of the idea, the people and all the moving pieces needed to bring it to life.

After wearing many hats across agency and in-house teams, I’ve found myself most drawn to the space where brand, culture and experience meet — where thoughtful ideas can become work that feels intentional, relevant and memorable. I love the mix of instinct, coordination and taste it takes to make something feel right, not just get it out the door.

Outside of my marketing work, I’m also building The Open Seat, a Substack inspired by the Latin American tradition of sobremesa — that time spent lingering around the table long after the meal is over. It’s where I explore whatever is currently taking up space in my brain, from creativity and style to culture, lifestyle and the everyday things worth talking about.
